About us
The Indonesian Association - Northern Ireland, later called as Indo-NI, is a voluntary organization which was established in 26 April 2008 in 21 Irwin Avenue, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT4 3AF. The Association is a cultural, social, and non-political organization which will be a source of information for new Indonesians who come to Northern Ireland, and be a site to express ideas, give mutual assistance, discussion and mutual cooperation. The centre works of the Organization towards the promotion and greater understanding of the unique and distinctiveness Indonesian cultures among the other cultures in Northern Ireland, and provides ideas and voluntary works to Northern Ireland.
Indo-NI that has been registered with NICEM (Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities) uses the alias name of  'Perkumpulan Keluarga Indonesia di Irlandia Utara'  and will take a part in all the activities of NICEM. As a cultural and social organization, Indo-NI also seeks to create and build upon relationships with the wider Northern Ireland community, and reflect upon the changing diversity of the society. The Organization has a wide range of activities and events, and more than 50 members comprised of full, affiliated, and honorary membership spread out from Bangor to Omagh and Belfast to Portstewart.
